Amy Staples -

Saba's voice was terrific. It varied in pitch, and the tempo of her speech was good. The story itself was entertaining, and young children should enjoy it, too. Saba placed good emphasis on certain words and built suspense describing how her daughter was still crying, then crying louder and louder. Also, the part mentioning the toys in the doctor's office was sure to interest the children. I liked how she transitioned from the tension and result of the climax to the end where she finds out why her daughter would put something in her ear! It was funny. I timed the story at 8 minutes, so it will need to be streamlined some more, maybe in the first part when her daughter initially approaches her with the problem. There were some "um's" and pauses as well, but a little more practice should resolve that. Don't doubt yourself, Saba. It was a great story that I truly and thoroughly enjoyed listening to.
